Avid® (NASDAQ: AVID) has joined forces with ABC News to participate in “ABC News On Campus” — an innovative program designed to give tomorrow’s most promising news professionals an opportunity to practice real-world news gathering, production and broadcasting. “ABC News On Campus” students capture, produce, edit and distribute news stories in their local area, which are often featured across ABC News programs. This year, students from six universities, including Arizona State University, Syracuse University, University of Florida, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of North Carolina (at Chapel Hill), and University of Texas (at Austin) will learn the inner workings of a newsroom, while using industry-leading solutions like Media Composer® video editing software to create news stories. The program is in its second year.
Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC), a world leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing of solutions that help create a cleaner, safer world, today reported net earnings of $5.8 million, or $0.31 per diluted share, on net sales of $154.4 million for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009. In the 2008 third quarter, Tennant reported net earnings of $14.0 million, or $0.76 per diluted share, on net sales of $185.9 million. The company’s performance for the third quarter of 2009 improved sequentially from the 2009 second quarter’s net sales of $148.6 million and net earnings of $3.0 million, or $0.16 per diluted share.

The NICE solution was chosen for the unique breadth of its offering, which enables the scheduling of tens of thousands of agents working in a complex, multi-skilled and multi-site environment.
Colfax Corporation (NYSE: CFX), a global leader in fluid-handling solutions for critical applications, announced its Colfax-Imo Pompes Business Unit in France will provide oil pumps and other fluid-handling systems for Barracuda-class nuclear submarines being built for the French Navy.
