PowerSafe Technology Corporation (PSFT.PK) subsidiary Amplification Technologies Inc. (www.amplificationtechnologies.com) (ATI), is offering higher performance thermoelectrically cooled discrete amplification single photon counting solid state photodetectors. These photodetectors are mounted on a two stage thermoelectric cooler inside a hermetically sealed TO8 package and can be operated down to a temperature of -30oC.
Stem Cell Therapy International Inc. (OTCBB: SCII) and its soon to be subsidiary, Histostem Ltd. of South Korea (”Histostem”), announced that they recently supplied hematopoietic stem cells to The Queen Mary Hospital of the University of Hong Kong, China, for treatment of Leukemia patients. As reported October 29, 2009 in the Korean Medical Association, Histostem has become the first Korean company in the stem cell market to provide this type of hematopoietic stem cell — derived from umbilical cord blood — for transplantation in non-blood related patients. This makes Korea only the sixth nation in the world to export stem cells for international research and treatment and further illustrates Histostem’s role as a leader in the stem cell industry.
Multi-Color Corporation (Nasdaq: LABL) announced today that its Board of Directors declared the Company’s quarterly cash dividend for the third quarter of fiscal year 2010. The dividend is a payment of five cents per common share, payable December 1, 2009, to shareholders of record at the close of business on November 16, 2009.
Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE: HPY) has filed a court briefing in the Superior Court of New Jersey saying it now expects its merchants using VeriFone systems to contact VeriFone directly for support.
Acorn Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACFN), an energy technology holding company, today announced that it has entered into a binding letter of intent to purchase 69% of GridSense Systems, Inc. which will increase its ownership to 100%. The agreement is only subject to Acorn completing its due diligence to its satisfaction, with the closing expected to occur on or about January 5, 2010. The terms include cash, Acorn stock, conversion of Acorn loans to GridSense stock, and management performance incentives for 2010. The details of the terms are in the 8-k filed today with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Joy Global Inc. (Nasdaq: JOYG) announced today that management will participate in the Baird 2009 Industrial Conference being held at the Four Seasons in Chicago on November 10-11, 2009. Ted Doheny, President of the Company’s Joy Mining Machinery business and Mike Olsen, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Joy Global Inc., will present at the Conference on Wednesday, November 11th, at 10:30 a.m. EST.
